Crow sits at a table shuffling through a huge stack of parchments. Some are very old the signature of Solarian starting to fade with age. Others not quite as old still hold the pungent odors of stonard and Margars marking. Crow holds in his hands some of the most recent papers penned by Eternalmage and Pikki.
Crow sets these last pages on top of the pile, neatly stacks them and binds them with a strap of leather. He crosses the room and puts the bundle into a chest with the other rosters and duty logs of the Gol'Kosh. He paces the room several times and then walks to the window and look accross the camp.
'Who is who now in the Gol'kosh?'
Grunts, Boss Grunt, Boss Grot, Shiv, Blade, First Blade, Veteran, Protector, Guardian....
Crow shook his head it was all just too much for his old mashed up brain to handle.
"No More."
Crow folded his arms across his chest. And spoke out the window to the wind.
"It's is the chief that bestows the honor of ranks to the Grin. To taste the hammer, To raise a fist in the Jak'thra. The Gol'kosh needs no more badges of honor than the scars on our faces and the notches on our blades. What I need to know and what my guards need to know is what to do when there is no time for words."
Crow stepped away from the window and selected an old orcish book from one of the shelves before sitting back down at the table. He opened the book and began scanning the pages occasionally picking up his quill and jots some notes down on his own fresh parchment. He scratched out some words and some he circled. Some he rewrote again and again uncertain wether he was getting the orcish spelling correct.
Gol'Kosh-"By the Axe" The Guard as a whole
Gol'rok-"The Stone Axe"
Frontline Guards and Those that specialise in Shielding others. Warriors, Deathknights, and Bears would gravitate to this mind set naturally. However I can see the possibility of a Priest or Paladin that felt their spirit was more in tune with this mind set of protection. I would even argue for survivalist hunters or combat rogues to consider themselves Gol'rok. To be quite honest I think most of the deathknights might be better trained by Gar'mak Thuugom.
Gol'Chok-"The Flying Axe"
Range Specialists. The hunter squad, along with any mages, moonkin or elementalists that may join the guard. No troll rogues that insist on only using throwing axes.
Gol'Oshu-"The Ghost Axe"
The stealth and scouting experts. If the rogues will be falling under my eye than I will add to thier forces with any who are daring enough to cross enemy lines with them. Might be a cattish druid or a shaman with his mail bound in feathers and a crate filled with vanish potions.
The page began to fill up with more notes and scrawls. Towards the bottom of the page it began to fall into a jumble of thoughts.
"The thought of designating sub officers comes to mind. I think that the Sythgars and Raiders will either step up or be designated to lead squads as needed. The exception being Dakini I need to speak with him about continuing to lead the hunters and hope he will not mind odd additions to his squad."
"I think Sythgar Traezah will have some constructive input as well."
Crow held up the parchment at arms length frowning at its messyness, not quite as well written as many of the other papers tucked away in the chest. He shrugged and placed the page down on his desk.
"It's a start."
((To Chief Kragh and The Other Sythgar please feel free to post your thoughts on this idea.))
